The Crows and the Serpent’s Revenge

crow, serpent, jackal, king, queen

A crow couple built their nest on a tree, but they were not the only ones residing there. A serpent had taken up residence in a hole at the bottom of the same tree, and while the crows were away it would climb up and feast on their eggs. The crows were desperate for a solution, so they sought out their friend, a clever jackal, to help them.

The jackal devised a plan: the father crow was to fly to the king’s palace and steal the queen’s necklace. The crow followed through with this and successfully stole the necklace, then flew back to the serpent’s hole and dropped it. The queen noticed her necklace missing and the king sent out his guards to search for it. When they found the necklace in the hole, they killed the serpent and the crows were finally free of their problem. The couple was able to live happily ever after.

Moral: Clever planning can help you get out of difficult situations.
